Deskrun: Terms

This page explains how Deskrun is designed to work. It is a draft: your order or access agreement confirms the final terms before you pay or start using Deskrun.
Scope
Deskrun is provided by Timastra LLC. These terms describe its permitted use. Your accepted order or access agreement sets the service terms; the website terms cover timastra.com.
Permitted use
QA engineers and developers who automate, check and report on Windows desktop applications, whether they watch a run or leave it to CI. Drive Windows desktop applications through their user interface, verify the results, and report them to people and CI systems.
Responsible use and limitations
Deskrun clicks and types in real applications. Review and test every flow before running it, especially unattended, start against test copies of your applications, and automate only systems you are authorized to use. Keep screenshots and logs that may contain personal information under your organization's control.
Only provide records and connect systems you are authorized to use. Do not use the service to access another organization's information without permission.
Your service agreement
Your order or access agreement names Timastra LLC as the contracting company and sets out eligibility, permitted use, customer data responsibilities, intellectual property, availability and support commitments, termination, liability, dispute process and applicable law. Review those terms and any processing agreement before acceptance.
Billing and closure
Deskrun is licensed by yearly subscription: a Studio seat for each named person who authors or records flows, and a runner for each machine or container that runs flows unattended through the CLI, QA runner or SDK. Seat and runner counts are contractual, not tied to a device. Each renewal issues a new signed licence file from your account page. Deskrun has no hosted account to close. Flows, screenshots, run logs and reports stay in the folders you choose, and Timastra cannot remotely erase them. Flow Studio can delete a run's evidence, and stored credentials can be removed with the deskrun cred command, Flow Studio's Credentials dialog or Windows Credential Manager. Uninstalling Deskrun does not necessarily remove flows, run evidence or credentials.
