What to expect from the conversion

This is a text-first conversion. The result is a real, editable .docx document, with page breaks between source pages.

The PDF must have selectable text. Scans and image-only PDFs need OCR, which is not included.
Images, charts, original fonts, text styling, table structure and page layout are not preserved. Columns may read in a different order; spacing may need cleanup.
Empty or image-only pages in a mixed PDF are marked in the DOCX. A PDF with no extractable text produces an explanation instead of an empty download.
PDF text encodings can be incomplete. Compare names, numbers, symbols and reading order with the original before using the document.

Private by design

Does my file leave this device?

No. The site delivers the conversion code; your browser reads the document and creates the download locally. This tool sends neither the document nor its filename to a conversion server and does not save them in browser storage. Clear the document or close the tab when finished. Files you download remain on your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, subscription, credits or payment. File and complexity limits keep processing manageable on your device; they are not a paid upgrade.

What if a file fails?

Use a current browser, try a smaller file, or split a long document. Protected or damaged files are unsupported. Keep the original; this tool creates a separate copy.
