Who provides this app
Bundok ng Pinas is provided under the Timastra brand. Timastra LLC is the planned legal entity; its formation and the transfer of app operations to it are pending. This policy will be updated when that transition is complete. Privacy questions can be sent to support@timastra.com.
This policy covers the app and the features described below. Platform-specific features apply only where supported.
Your hiking log and location
Your name, body mass, climb notes, dates, companions, photos, tracks and attached health summaries are stored locally on your device or browser. There is no app-operated automatic cloud logbook sync. Location permission shows your position and records a hike you start. A foreground location service lets mobile recording continue with the screen off. Browsing mountains and manually logging climbs do not need location permission.
Optional health connection
With your permission, Health Connect or Apple Health supplies heart rate, exercise sessions, steps, distance, calories, floors climbed and exercise routes where available. Android uses total calories and iOS uses active energy. Older history access supports earlier climbs; routes may need separate permission. Readings display and save the hiking session in your log. The app does not write health data, sell it or use it for advertising. Revoke access in system settings to stop future reads; saved summaries must be deleted separately.
Photos, exports and online services
Camera and photo access are used when you add photos. User-created backups, GPX exports and summit cards may contain precise location, health data, names and photos and are not encrypted by the app. Online map, terrain and forecast requests go to OpenTopoMap, OpenStreetMap, Esri, public elevation services and Open-Meteo; the web version also loads its map library from unpkg. Providers receive your IP and requested area or mountain coordinates, not your logbook or health summaries. External map links share the destination with that provider.
Retention and deletion
Delete saved climbs, photos and tracks in the app; discard unfinished recording drafts and remove attached GPX files separately. Offline maps lets you delete packs and browse caches. Clearing app storage or browser site data removes local records. Removing an app-managed photo does not delete its original. Exports and operating-system backups remain under your control. Deleting a climb does not delete original watch data from Health Connect or Apple Health.

Support messages and your privacy choices
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Email and hosting providers process these communications and ordinary connection information. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations; you may request deletion of correspondence.
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of personal information we hold, or raise an objection or withdraw consent where applicable. Local-only records must be managed on your device because we do not hold a remote copy. Optional device permissions can be revoked in system settings. Service providers may process data outside your country under their own policies; security also depends on your device and any destinations you choose for exports.
Contact and policy changes
Email support@timastra.com for Bundok ng Pinas privacy questions. Include the app name and enough non-sensitive information to identify your request. Never send passwords, authentication codes, recovery keys or private health, financial or photo backups. We may need to verify ownership before releasing or deleting hosted records.
Material changes to the app's data practices will be reflected in this policy with an updated date and in the app where appropriate. Visiting this page is also covered by our website privacy policy.
